OLG Chairman Paul Godfrey Fired and Directors Resign

Chairman Paul Godfrey was let go as chair of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation by Premier Kathleen Wynne’s government late Thursday. “I haven’t been given any reason for this decision — nor do I think there’s a particularly good one. I was fired,” Godfrey said at a news conference, adding Premier Wynne told to him the government was “going in a different direction.” Godfrey was appointed in 2009, cleaning house after a series of insider wins and executive expense scandals

2013-2014 WSOP Circuit Season 10 Features 22 Stops including Montreal and Vancouver

With buy-ins ranging from $365 to $1,675, the WSOP organizers have finalized their 2013-2014 10th season schedule consisting of 22 stops across North America including a second Canadian stop added in Montreal at the November 14-25, 2013 at Casino de Montréal. It will be the first event of this caliber hosted at Casino de Montréal. Paul Volpe Wins €130,500 at EPT Monte-Carlo €10,300 NLHE turbo 6-handed and Mike McDonald in 2nd for €84,600
